2025 P Australia Silver Wedge Tailed Eagle 1oz Coin Certified (MS) Mint State 69 (ER) Early Release by NGC in the Australian Flag Label

Named for its long and distinctively shaped tail, the wedge-tailed eagle has a wingspan of more than 2.5 meters. With the ability to fly tirelessly for many hours, it's known to soar at altitudes of 2,000 meters and beyond on thermal air currents rising from Australia's sun-baked terrain. The year 2025 marks the 11th year/issue of this series.

With a mintage limit of just 50,000 the design is a representation of a Wedge Tailed Eagle by John M. Mercanti, the former 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint. In the 2025 year design, the magnificent bird is perched with its vast wings partially outstretched peering over its left side as if it just landed. Along with the inscription "Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle" and The Perth Mint's 'P' mint-mark, the reverse also includes the coin's weight, fineness and its 2025 year-date as "2025 1oz 9999 SILVER".
