Today we will see the second release in the 2025 American Women's Quarters. Releasing at 12pm EST, the coins will honor Juliette Gordon Low and be available in 2-roll sets, 3-roll sets, and 100-coin bags from Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco (3-roll sets only).
Desiring an organization that girls, regardless of their background and differences, could have access to where they could develop leadership and advocacy skills to better their lives is why Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts organization in America on March 12, 1912. She spent her life promoting and growing the Girl Scouts to an international level, making it what it is today with nearly two million adult and girl members worldwide. Low also founded a movement that prepared girls for leadership eight years before women gained the right to vote in the United States. With it she emphasized civic responsibility and motivated girls to make their communities a better place through commitment to service.
The quarter dollar depicts Juliette Gordon Low standing next to the original Girl Scout trefoil that she designed and patented on the reverse. JULIETTE GORDON LOW, E PLURIBUS UNUM, QUARTER DOLLAR, and FOUNDER of GIRL SCOUTS of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA is inscribed throughout the design.
Laura Gardin Fraser’s portrait of George Washington continues to grace the common obverse throughout the program. The design was originally entered into a contest for the 1932 quarter which honored the First President’s birth. LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2025 are seen inscribed along with the corresponding mintmarks.
The 100-coin bags from Philadelphia and Denver retail at $47.25, the 2-roll sets at $42.00, and the 3-roll sets (including San Francisco) at $63.00.
Dr. Vera Rubin, Stacey Park Milbern, and Althea Gibson are upcoming for the program that is set to officially end this year.
