The United States Mint’s first collector edition American Silver Eagle for 2025 will be released today beginning at 12pm EST. The 2025 W Proof Silver Eagle in Original Government Packaging from West Point will retail for $95.00.
The annual release will be struck in 1 Troy Ounce of .999 fine silver and feature the ‘W’ mint mark on the reverse. No mintage or product limit has been set, but the household order limit is initially set at 25.
In addition to the Proof Silver Eagle, the Mint is also releasing the 2025 Congratulations Set. Retailing at $97.00, the Silver Eagle will arrive a little differently this year. Instead of the folder, the West Point minted coin will come encapsulated and in a black clamshell presentation box. An outer box sleeve will also accompany the Proof coin, featuring the words “To” and “From” on the back for space to write a personal message. A Certificate of Authenticity will also be included.
The initial household limit is set at three with the product limit set at 55,000. There is no mintage limit.
