The obverse of the Peace Dollar features a striking profile portrait of Lady Liberty, modeled after de Francisci's wife, Teresa. Lady Liberty wears a radiant crown, symbolizing enlightenment and freedom. The design includes the inscriptions "LIBERTY" at the top, "IN GOD WE TRUST" in two lines on either side of Liberty's neck, and the date "1927" at the bottom. The reverse showcases a majestic bald eagle at rest, clutching an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing peace. The eagle is perched on a rock inscribed with the word "PEACE." Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM," with the denomination "ONE DOLLAR" below.
