2013 Coin Release Schedule
The United States Mint has released its preliminary schedule of 2013 coin releases. As always, there are several items on the list that are sure to pick the interest of silver coin enthusiasts. The first item on the list was released January 8th - the 2013 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set, with each of the five coins containing 90% silver. Included in this year’s set is White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire, Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial in Ohio, Great Basin National Park in Nevada, Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Maryland & Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota.
Other items of particular interest to silver coin collectors will be the new 2013 Girl Scouts Silver Dollar & 2013 5-Star Generals Silver Dollar commemorative coins. Also on the schedule in mid-year, but with no set date, is an American Eagle West Point Two-Coin Silver Set. Final details regarding this set have not been released at this time.
