50 Piece (pc) Circulated Eisenhower Dollar Grab Bag

Also known as the “IKE” dollar, this coin was officially produced from 1971 to 1978 and was named for the General of the Army and President Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower. This copper-nickel issue is minted in .750 copper and .250 nickel bonded to an inner core of pure copper. Due to the amount of copper-nickel in it, it is heavy coin, weighing about the same as four quarters; this contributed to its short time in circulation and was often saved as a memento of its namesake.
