1989 Denver(D) Congressional Half Dollar Brilliant Uncirculated Condition

The 1989 D Congressional Half Dollar is a commemorative coin issued by the United States Mint to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the United States Congress. This coin is notable for its historical significance and detailed design. Clad half dollar minted at the Denver Mint designated by the D Mint Mark. Only 163,753 of these were distributed.

1989 D Congress Bicentennial Half Dollar BU

The Bicentennial of the Congress was commemorated on the three coins. The obverse of the half dollar was designed by sculptor Patricia L. Verani and features a detailed bust of the Statue of Freedom. The reverse, designed by William Woodward, offers a full view of the Capitol Building accented by a wreath of stars.
