1921 Denver Silver Mercury Dime Very Good Condition
Although this coin is commonly called the Mercury dime, the main device is in fact a representation of Liberty. The wings crowning her cap are intended to symbolize liberty of thought. The designer's monogram A W is to the right of the neck. The Mint also created a 2016 gold Mercury dime at a smaller dimension. The 1921-D Mercury dime, like its Philadelphia-mint counterpart, is a very scarce semi-key coin in all grades. It has the second-lowest mintage in the series, behind only the elusive 1916-D Mercury dime. While the mintage for this piece is above 1 million, only a small fraction of these coins survived in collectible grades.

In VG condition, the coin shows significant wear but retains the basic elements of its design. Liberty’s hairline, facial features, and the winged cap are worn but still visible. The date and inscriptions are readable but may be faint. The fasces and olive branch are worn, with some details merged. Inscriptions are legible but worn down.
