These coins are most commonly referred to as Mercury Dimes but are also officially known as Winged Liberty Head dimes. The designer's monogram AW is to the right of the neck.

1921 Silver Mercury Dime AG/G

this 1921 Mercury dime is in Almost Good Condition (also called "About Good" condition). Almost good condition designates that most of the design of the coin will be outlined, but the rims will generally have worn far enough into the design to obliterate parts of the lettering or stars. In G condition, the coin exhibits significant wear, but more details are visible compared to AG condition. The date and major design elements are clearer, and the rims are more defined. Liberty’s profile and the fasces on the reverse are visible but heavily worn.
