The caduceus is the traditional symbol of Hermes and features two snakes winding around a winged staff. In the United States, the caduceus is often used as a symbol of medicine popularized by the US Army Medical Corps using the symbol on Army medical officers' uniforms in the early 1900s. The caduceus is very similar to the Rod of Asclepius which features a single serpent-entwined rod. This is the symbol associated with the Greek god, Asclepius, who is known for healing and medicine.

Custom minted in the USA at the SilverTowne Mint in Winchester, Indiana using pure .999 fine silver bullion. The obverse of this round features two snakes winding around a winged staff atop a mirror/proof-life background. The reverse features our standard non-dated back with the weight and purity designation of "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" displayed around the area designated for engraving.
