Lincoln Bicentennial Cents

US Cent Coins (small cents) are a great reflection of US history, making them fun to seek out and collect. Lincoln Bicentennial Cents were minted and released in only the year 2009, as a tribute to the 200th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s birth, as well as the 100 year anniversary of the first issuance of Lincoln Cents. There were four different designs on the reverse of these coins to represent the four major aspects of President Lincoln’s life. These designs are: Birth and Early Childhood in Kentucky (designed by Richard Masters), Formative Years in Indiana (designed by Charles Vickers), Professional Life in Illinois (designed by Joel Iskowitz) and Presidency in Washington (designed by Susan Gamble).
