Lincoln Memorial Cents

US Cent Coins (small cents) are a great reflection of US history, making them fun to seek out and collect. The obverse of the Lincoln Memorial Cent carried forward the Wheat Cent design by Victor D. Brenner, but the reverse was updated to feature the Lincoln Memorial (a design by Frank Gasparro). This cent was minted from 1959-2008. The Lincoln Memorial Cent is perhaps the best-known cent design and was originally released to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth.
